Foreign Trade Policy ( Exim-Policy ) 2009 - 2014
Foreign Trade has gained immense importance in India in the recent years. The export import (exim) policy of India has laid guidelines for India to become a major player in world trade, an all encompassing; comprehensive view needs to be taken for the overall development of the country’s foreign trade. The new exim policy states that reasonableness and consistency among trade and other economic policies is important for maximizing the contribution of such policies to development. The foreign trade policy implies in its preamble that while incorporating the existing practice of enunciating an annual exim policy, it is necessary to go much beyond and take an integrated approach to the developmental requirements of India’s foreign trade.
The exim policy of India can be viewed at our website which is updated on a regular basis. The import laws of India are governed by the foreign trade policy. All exporters/importers trading from India have to adhere to the foreign exim policies in order to gain benefits on the trade front.
